This setup sort of helped thank you I had to change it 1 instead of 0 and make a script for start up. It plays sound just fine but volume adjustment is calibrated incorrectly.

It is done automatically. I am not responsible for those packages, but I have asked the person who is to get them fixed up. The ubuntu-reviewers team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the patch. One click below in the horizontal volume slider is too low to hear, and 0000e click above would make Spinal Tap envious. So I set it as this and it just worked fine.
I have to manually adjust the volume using my speaker adjustment.
